Public Hearing Monday May 24 at 6PM at The Old Tannery Park: There will be a Public Hearing on Monday May 24th  at 6PM at the Old Tannery Park. The purpose for this public hearing will be to hear questions and comments about the by-pass channel five year operational performance and to discuss the Land & Water Conservation Grant to expand the Old Tannery Park. The meeting we will also be discussing the future management of the by-pass. Andrew Goode who is the Vice President, US Operations Atlantic Salmon Federation will be there to discuss these issues and to answer questions about the future of the site.

The Howland Fire Dept. services several communities with two fire stations and an annual service call volume of 1,700-2,000 per year. We are a growing fire service that covers roughly 250 sq. miles and a population of 4,000 residents. The fire schedule is 24hrs on duty, 24hrs call back duty and 48hrs off.
