Public Hearing on the 10/31/2023 Article questions

The will be a public hearing scheduled for Thursday 10/19/23 for the purpose of hearing oral & written questions regarding the 10/31/2023 article questions as written
- To elect a moderator to preside at said meeting.
- Shall the Town vote to appropriate the sum of $5,000 from the Town’s Undesignated Funds to be applied to the Town’s construction of a vaulted privy restroom for use of the public in the Veterans Memorial Section of Old Tannery Park?
3 . Shall the Town vote to accept a grant of $15,000 from the Penobscot River Confluence Foundation to be applied to the Town’s construction of a vaulted privy restroom, to be constructed within one year of acceptance for the use of the public in the Veterans Memorial Section of Old Tannery Park?
4. Shall the Town vote to accept a grant of $20,000 from the Penobscot River Confluence Foundation and to appropriate an amount up to $24,000 from the Town’s Park Reserve Fund for any excess costs above the $20,000 grant, with all funds authorized by this article to be applied to the Town’s permitting (in compliance with local and State laws), and the final design and 2024 installation of a restroom using a pump tank, grinder pump and force main to connect with the Town Sewer for public use in conjunction with existing and futures uses of the Old Tannery Park?” The Select Board notes whole cost of this option is estimated to cost approximately $30,000.
