PVHS CLASS OF 2023 presents the 1st annual HAUNTED TANNERY TRAIL!!!: Come get your scare on at the 1st Annual Haunted Tannery Trail here at the Old Tannery Park in Howland. The event scheduled for October 23rd (rain date 10/29) will be scaring people from 7PM to 10PM and isn't for the faint of heart. Admission is $5 per person for the first trip and $2 each addtional trip. Flashlights are welcome and this event isnt recommended for young children. There will be baked goods, cider and cocoa for sale as well as a giant pumkin 50/50 raffle if you can guess the weight. ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE CLASS OF 2023

The Town of Howland, located in Penobscot County, is located at the convergence of the Penobscot and Piscataquis Rivers.

The town is on the west bank of the Penobscot River at the confluence with the Piscataquis River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.62 square miles (92.26 km2), of which, 34.92 square miles (90.44 km2) of it is land and 0.70 square miles (1.81 km2) is water.
