There will be a special town meeting on Monday July 28th at 6pm at the town office located at 10 Bridge Road. The purpose of this meeting is to authorize the issuance of general obligation and/or bond anticipation notes in the aggregate principal amount of up to $1,000,000 for the purpose of financing the following projects: 1.) up to $400,000 for the construction of a salt/sand storage facility; 2,) up to $140,000 for the interior & exterior coating of the water standpipe. 3,) up to $460,000 for paving projects throughout the town. Approving this article question would allow the town to secure up to $1,725,000 in federal funding, covering 75% of the costs for both capital projects.
The Municipal Officers recomend a yes vote.
